We are blessed at CUMC with a gracious space for our church library. It is an inviting room containing a growing collection of both Christian and appropriate secular reading. We believe there is great value in reading, viewing and listening to Christian and classical material. We’ve made every effort to provide an extensive collection of good reading materials. We also have set aside a portion of the library for children that is just their size. The library is a budgeted item, but we also rely on donations and funds from our annual Book Fair.
Presently the library offers a Women’s Book Club and a Girls’ Book Club. In the past we have provided story hours and summer reading programs. In the future we hope to expand on all of these to offer even more opportunities for reading.
Books can be building blocks in developing character while gaining knowledge and exercising our minds. We are grateful for the opportunity be be able to offer books promoting Christian values to our members as well as the community.
Take time to visit our library. It’s a great way to increase your knowledge and strengthen your faith. All kinds of blessings await you just inside the door.
