The mission of the CUMC Food Bank is to make good nutritious food available to anyone that has a need.
We feel that God has given us the ability to help our brothers and sisters. He has blessed us and we
must pass that blessing on to His children in need. The CUMC Food Bank will not turn anyone away.
What You Need to Know
A food pantry is a program that is here to help those that are in need of food assistance.
No donations are required for services.
Food and other products from the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Banks cannot be sold, bartered, or exchanged for goods or services.
Sale of donated products violates the entire premise on which the concept of food banking is based.
Sale of donated products is a misdemeanor in the state of Pennsylvania as well as a violation of federal law. If you are caught selling or exchanging food for goods or services you will no longer be eligible to receive food.
This program is designed to help you when you have a need and is not an entitlement.
CUMC Food Bank Schedule
The CUMC Food Bank distributes on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Food that has been given to the CUMC Food Bank or purchased with donated funds can be given to
anyone in need. Food received through Butler County and USDA commodities can only be given to
individuals and families who met income guidlines.
When coming to the Food Bank for the first time, please bring the following to help us assist you:
